Year One of Preschool gone already?

Do you think he enjoyed it? I'll say....teachers and buddies will surely be missed but next year it's upstairs to the Big Classroom and man is he excited about that.

Gotcha Day + LOA

What could be better than celebrating our 2 year anniversary of Gotcha Day and sending off our LOA (letter of acceptance) to China to bring Zak home this summer!!

A boy and a beautiful bride!

How lucky we are to have been guests at the San Francisco Dream Wedding Event for Scott's cousin Vanessa and her handsome groom, Mike! Van's first wedding which he proclaimed to be "the best party ever!" He has been asking every hour since we've been home to see the photos of him dancing with Vanessa...his first true crush and she couldn't be more beautiful!!

Tucked in his school bag on Friday to kick off the Mother's Day weekend fun!

"She is (don't know) years old." Well I am liking the answers so far...

"She weighs (don't know) pounds." Getting better already...

"She has (blue) eyes and (orange) hair." Wonder if this is before or after my salon appointment...

"She love to eat (salad)." Wow, he's making me look really good here...

"She loves to drink (soda)." Thank you for not mentioning wine...

"She likes to go shopping for (yogurt)." Well you moms will agree shoe shopping isn't quite the same anymore

"She is happy when (at me)." Guess it's not "yelling at me"?

"Her favorite thing to do is (see me)." He's got that right!

"On Mother's Day, I will (don't know)." He's playing the day by ear apparently.

"I love my mommy because (I love my mommy and hug my mommy)." He did indeed...what a great great day it was!!

Suddenly Summer

At least the temps felt like it, so naturally the boys had to indulge in all things boy and summer...of course jam packed into one awesomely fun weekend!
Day one a very special celebration to honor the life of the dos amigos' Uncle Brian. Boys and a creek...need we say more...













Day Two-another hot day with some hot chicks at the park. In our small town, there are always random friend connections. That's how Donna and I became friends and thusly formed the bond of the three amigos.
Well it seems that Austin, Logan and Van have themselves now extended this seven degrees of Kevin Bacon theory at the mere age of four. Turns out they all have common friends as well. So the moms arranged a play date for this adorable all adopted gang. Somehow the girls managed to sneak out just before the Ice Cream man arrived...sticky looks so good on boys...
