...and loving every minute of it! We have an awesome new private gymnastics class with our best buddies and two other fun pals once a week now. 6 boys and one coach in a gym filled with every apparatus for flipping, jumping and tumbling known to man. Van and Zak count down the days till "j'nastics". "Flying" is of course one of the many highlights. The moms watch from behind the glass but we can still hear their gleeful giggles in those big ole smiles!!
and we all survived. Mom's brain seems able to function in an adult environment, Van and Zak both trotted happily into their classrooms after the daily find your favorite mittens, oh wait they are the ones your brother is wearing drama. The poor lunch bunch teachers survived a mini meltdown by big brother that of course required a mandatory "monkey see monkey do" meltdown by little brother. All ended well and I was greeted with giant hugs. Cheers to 2011...I swear it's just cider!
It was a LONG and LOUD 2.5 weeks of the round the clock Van and Zak show. But I must admit, I am a bit weepy about it coming to an end. Momma goes back to work tomorrow...wow...hope I have the brain cells left for it. Zak has already voiced his opinion..."I no wanna go school tomorrow". Van had a big meltdown before bed that included not wanting to go to school. Wish us luck tomorrow as we are forced out of our PJs/undies before noon. They will have a blast once they settle in, but this momma will miss hearing "Watch this Zak" 8 thousand times tomorrow. I bet I will only get to count to 4 thousand. Love me some rockin' boys!!
The brothers rang in the new one in style...as usual with their best buddies. On Monday, it's back to school and back to work for mommy. Hopefully we all settle into our new routine. Since Zak has been home, he has gone pretty non-stop on the parties and holidays...January could be a let down for him but he treats every day like a party so I bet we will be just fine. Here's to an amazing year of learning and loving for all!
Welcome to our family blog. We were so happy to create this blog for our journey to bring Van home. Now we are thrilled to be adding Zak to our family and sharing our growing family adventures with all of you.
