Swimming, swimming

Plenty of that around here this summer with the high temps we've been having. Van aka Aquaman has suddenly decided to keep his face under and make his jumps bigger.

Our sweet boy has some dear friends with him while he waits so patiently. I love the little hand holding. We did move one step closer to him today with yet another document arriving to check off the government list. Wishing he would be home for some swimming this summer but we know there will be plenty of fun filled brother days ahead when he does finally gets here.

Yes once again, Zak has managed to work his way into the lives and blogs of our fellow Baotou adoptive families. We were thrilled to see his smiley face once again as he "seriously sports his mohawk", say Daddy. Check out his wardrobe changes too and the cute arm around pose...this guy is gonna be quite the match for Big Brother!!

The Growing Up Song

Vacation bible school show #2. The week started out kinda rocky...Van was not too sure about Austin and Logan's Vacation Bible School. But by Wednesday he was loving it and turned in another fine performance at the Friday show. Cell phone camera quality so it's not great but seeing Mr. orange shorts hugging his pal Logan not once but twice in the song is priceless. He really is growing up every day.

What a fun family outing...a blueberry farm, an ice cream truck and friends...

Party Boy!

We were thrilled this week when one of our fellow adoptive families posted these photos. Their daughter, Bella is waiting with Zak in Baotou...(we are praying we can travel with them to get these cuties!) Bella's birthday party was attended by lots of happy kids at Zak's orphanage. Guess who was front and center with Bella...none other than our lil guy! How lucky is he to have such a beauty as Bella for a friend!
Every time families post new pix from the orphanage, we search and search in hopes of catching an updated glimpse of our lil brother and this week we won the lottery of cuteness! Check out our happy guy. Too bad we can't see how the haircut is growing out but the crown seems to suit this prince of a boy. We love that he is sneaking his finger into the cake and enjoying the celebration. When Van saw the pictures he pouted a bit and said he was mad he wasn't at the birthday party too!!

Freedom, Fire and Flips

Another happy 4th on the Big Pond! Our block party rocks every 4th and this year we added a little bounce house flippin' and a firecracker fire. Daddy scored a free bounce house and then assisted in the fire brigade to put out the brush fire. An awesome event and certainly one of our lil America boy's favorite holidays!

Summer Camper

Fun filled days already for this lil camper...Vacation Bible Schools...yes in the plural...we are attending quite a few, Summer Camps...yes a bunch of those too. Many play dates, the Awesome Adam, our basketball player babysitter and just plain ole fun inside and out...
