Who Loves Monica?

We were so lucky to find Monica this summer...she was a nanny in our neighborhood who needed some summer hours so we willingly wrangled the three musketeers for her. I think they all had a secret crush on her. She is heading back to her home in Poland now and then maybe London next...a nanny's life!! We will really miss her...

Friday Fun

Last Friday we decided to check out Van's golf skills so we could begin to plan our early retirement and PGA tour schedule...see for yourself.
If anyone has other sports suggestions, we are all ears...
Obviously golf attire doesn't mean much to Van either...

The "S" theme continues...guess who learned how to use scissors!!

This week..."S" is for sentences

Oh yes, the floodgates are opening...the words are flowing. Sentences are growing...we started with three words...
"Sit here mommy"
"Daddy fix it"
And then came four...
"Mommy, more juice please"
Here comes five...
"Daddy, try Van's orange juice"
And today it was six...count 'em six words in a sentence spoken straight from the potty seat...
"Three big poops out Van's butt"...
Oh yeah, did we mention that potty training is complete too...what an awesome summer we are having.

"S" is for Socks

Van's speech has really taken off in the past few weeks...it could be the fact that we go for therapy 4 times a week now and that he spends hours and hours with two of the cutest chattiest twins around...it's all working. He's up to 4 and 5 word sentences now...of course sentence structure is another matter. But Daddy and I understand almost 100% of his words now and both speech therapists are very pleased with his progress.
Yesterday we worked on the letter "S" so in honor of "S"...here's some cute Silly Socks Scenes...

Way Back When-esday

Well not really way back but as way back as we get around here...a look back to Van's very first 4th of July celebration...

I am the Yankee Doodle boy

4th of July...fast becoming my favorite holiday. Van just loves it and it's the first real holiday we celebrated with him. Our neighborhood does a good old fashion block party celebration...the kids run wild, everyone brings their favorite pyrotechnic devices and we just hang out and enjoy the summer night. Van got crafty this year too thanks to Fairy godmother's summer boxes of fun.
