Our dress up days

He might not like clothes but he's gotten real keen on dress up lately. Scott described this selection as a Village People costume. Note the bug catching net under the hat to protect his fair locks...he's a character all right.

Step 23...oh so close...

Yes, awesome Daddy and friends have undertaken the amazing task of building Van's own personal playground. The "playground" as Van likes to refer to it, was a super generous birthday gift from Nanie and Beepa and Fairygodmother Beth and Uncle Dan...Van is beside himself excited to get on it...and we are oh so close to that day.
There are 31 steps...so please pray for sunny days this weekend so Van's dream of climbing and swinging can come to be...
Every morning he wakes up and checks outside and exclaims, "My playground is still here!!"
And it will be for quite a while thanks to Daddy dearest!

Update...and he's still smiling!

How perfect that Van made his big brother announcement this weekend and today we got three updated photos and some measurements for Zak! Yes, he is still smiling despite the haircut and and the girl's clothing.
Zak is currently weighing in at 23 lbs. and he's about 32 inches tall. Our update on Van at about the same age was 25 lbs and 33 inches so they are tracking pretty darn close.
We are so excited to see these photos but it sure makes the waiting harder. Can't wait to squeeze that smiley face.

We are so excited about this joyful little boy!! We have been told we should be traveling in about 6 months. We have been pre-approved by China and sent our first care package so we hope to have some updates and new photos soon.

My Favorite Part of the Day..."All the candy!"
