Celebrating seven and Easter in the same weekend makes for some happy, sugar-filled fun times. These guys rock a party in a truck and with a basket...certainly doesn't get much better than this!
We are finding it harder and harder to keep up our blogging with sports, school, and the active social life of the brothers. Lots of fun stuff and not enough pictures.
Legos...we've got plenty of 'em, we play with them, we aren't fanatics about them but we did love our visit to Legoland in Dallas. Then Lego Kidfest came to town...WOW. Those Lego folks know their audience and they made our four hour timed ticket worth every penny.
We enjoyed a fun New Years celebration today complete with lion parade, red envelopes, Chinese fans and friends. What a great start to the year of the snake!
The brothers decided to give basketball a try this winter...interesting choice I thought...what the heck. Zak is a 76er and Van is a Laker. With the lowest of expectations for our first "games", we were pleasantly surprised and impressed. Both boys actually actively (panting included) participated. They both scored baskets and maybe kinda, sorta dribbled the ball once or twice. Defense seems to be their strong suit so far. Zak even faked out the other team with an offensive rebound and then mistakenly headed to the wrong basket with everyone in tow. He managed to double back and score. And yes they do keep score. Van's team won and boy were they excited. Zak's team did not and I don't even think they knew there was a score. Oh the fun these two find!
Welcome to our family blog. We were so happy to create this blog for our journey to bring Van home. Now we are thrilled to be adding Zak to our family and sharing our growing family adventures with all of you.
