Check out this smile!

We decided that it was time for a semi-professional photo pre-surgery. That irresistible smile is finally captured on film! It's still hard to believe that he's the same kid with the furrowed brow and serious looks in all the orphanage photos. Of course the fact that he was wearing pink alot probably didn't help!
So for the next few weeks as we recover and maybe don't see the smile for a while...we can keep this image in our hearts and minds.
Since we are still relatively in the dark on the details for surgery on Wednesday morning...(the hospital doesn't do the final confirmation until tomorrow afternoon between 4 and 6pm)...I thought it might be better to do my last pre-surgery post tonight and save tomorrow night for the packing and my final panic.
I know that God is watching over him and our family during this time. Van has so much love in his heart to share and soon he will have the words to express it. Please keep a happy thought and an extra prayer for him and all those involved in his care. He'll pay you back with lots of Van love and affection and those cuter than cute dimples!

Tracy,

Checking in as Van's turn draws near. . .

Lord,
Please keep little Van safely tucked under the shelter of Your wing. Protect him Lord during his surgery, guide the hands of those who will do the surgery and those who will provide his care. Be with Scott and Tracey, Lord, give them the peace that only You can give. Please heal Van quickly and completely. We look forward to the day that he will be healed and whole, and speaking clearly for all to hear! Thank you for the blessing of Handsome Van!

In Your name, Amen!

Love the new portrait, he really is a handsome Van!

Blessings~

What a perfect prayer from Tina! Repeating her words and sending 'em heavenward...he will do great...and you and Scott will, too.

What darling picture to remind you of the prize of smiles at the end of this ordeal. :)

We love you guys...call if you need ANYTHING.

You're in our thoughts and prayers and will be for the duration.
