Pre-Op Bouncing

Zak's surgery is set for Monday morning 7am. Today seemed like the perfect day to play and bounce with our Families of the China Moon friends. Smiling, sliding and bouncing in anticipation of a quiet week ahead. We've been talking to the boys a lot about the upcoming surgery. Hoping it will sink in so Van remembers to keep his hands off little brother for a few days. So far I think what has sunk into their little brains is the following:

"Zak cannot eat crunchy food because he didn't say thank you to me"- Van
Zak-"I don't want to play robot."...following my description of how Zak's arms will be straight like a robot when he wears the arm restraints.
Van-"you have to be quiet in the hospital."
Zak-"I want to watch Mr. Incredible"...after I used that as a reference for the mom feeding Baby Jack-Jack in the movie.

Oh well, hopefully it will all make sense to both of them soon enough. Please think happy thoughts on Monday morning for this happy little smiley boy and his loving, worried big brother.
