Mom's turn and what's that thing called shower?
Yeah, about the // (5 [(Van's already at the keyboard)...hat and the shower today...not so much...hygiene and earrings take on a whole new meaning when you are busy counting diaper changes and cheerio intake...all in a day's work we are learning.

So many things to say... so much joy. Yesterday seemed like a minute and a lifetime ago...we were the only two families at CCAA and here comes Van and the orphanage director walking through the front door...it took everything I had in me not to just run up and snatch him that very second. But we followed protocol and waited patiently as they made their official entrance and transfer. Van bounced a big ball resembling a tacky Christmas ornament from a giant shopping mall tree (can you say lead paint hazard?) right to me and it's history from that point on. We had a noise making toy that immediately caught his attention and then bring on the Cheerios (thank you McManus family for the cheerios to-go packs-what a perfect gift!) The orphanage director answered a bunch of our questions about him and informed us that he has been in a foster home since Feb. 29th. It's so easy to tell that he was so very loved there and on a great schedule too. She told us he's a very smart boy with a big brain in his big head and he's ready to start talking very soon. He took to us in a flash and now we are just watching in wonder at how much he knows and learns and loves. He's a tiny little thing ...we are hoping to get him on the scale tonight after our bath. He's fitting into the 18 month clothes and lookin' stylin in his baggy 2T outfits. Okay now's he's drumming...am I a gushing mom or what? My turn for hugs and kisses....more later!!

OMGosh, Tracey - I am STILL crying tears of joy for you! AND it brings back so many memories for us, the "sharing" of the computer, the constant 'scramblin'" of feeding, "sleuthing" to figure out wants/needs and discoveries and diaper changes around the clock!
He looks SO happy! What a beautiful smile.
CanNOT wait to SEE you guys!
Tracey and Scott what wonderful pictures. Thank you so much for sharing your moments. It is wonderful to read and see that things are going so well for you. He has a terrific smile but so do the two of you. Must be because you were all meant to be together. Hugs from the states.
